T1 PRI <-> Asterisk 1.4 <-> Nortel Option 11C

Hi,

I'm working on replacing our aging Nortel Option 11C with Asterisk. Eventually - Asterisk will replace the Option 11C completely - but for now - Asterisk needs to sit in the middle between the PSTN T1 & the Nortel.

If you have experience in this - have you got any recommendations on configs or PRI cards?

I'm considering a dual T1 Red Fone device to enable Asterisk redundancy in the future - it's roughly the same price as a dual T1 PRI card with echo cancelation. ANy comments on this device?

Never worked with that card, but I have a TE205P from Digium that works great. As far as connecting it to your Nortel, you can just use the second port on your TE205P. I think you might have to use the Custom Context add-on to redirect your calls coming into the * box to the Nortel though.
