O.K., I have an email from someone asking me T1/ISDN questions. I do not know about T1/ISDN configurations. If anybody can understand what he is asking and what I can do for him I would appreciate it. I have a G3r Multivantage 11. Thanks.

Start of Email:
If you were not aware the ISDN Network called Vidnet is being terminated in August this year.
We have service from this Network that will be disconnected at that time. I was looking into a possibility of getting a T-1 PRI that would feed from the PBX System Over here to my Video Bridge. The purpose of this would be to allow persons with a phone set to be able to join Into Video Conferences audio only. We had this service available with the Vidnet System and I was attempting to replace what is being removed
With a circuit from the PBX System. I believe that a standard T-1 with ISDN signaling would work if your Switch can provide that. Then it would be just a matter of assigning a block of numbers that would route to that PRI.
Does this make sense ?

I simply wanted to establish a T-1 between the PBX Switch
And my Video Bridge.
It would require the usual parameters of ISDN Signaling
Between your Switch and my bridge.
I did not want to but a block of numbers from SBC, Merely use the dialing scheme already in place
And direct a block of numbers down the PRI towards
The Video Bridge.
The Video Bridge can serve as an audio conference bridge.
This T-1 would support only single channel voice calls not multi Channel video calls. I did not want to buy a T-1 from SBC, Just establish a T-1 between the PBX switch and the video bridge And be able to place calls from either an extension here or Except an outside call and route down that PRI.

Steve,
This can be done.
1. You would need to install a DS1 card with the parameters set up as Connect:pBX Interface:Network. This will act as your network T1.
2. You would then need to create a signalling group if you are wanting to see ani and have it configured as an ISDN-PRI.
3. Add the trunk group and add the 23 members using the correct signalling group.
4. Add a route pattern using this trunk group.
5. Add the extensions you want to use to the uniform-dialplan table. I have my stations routed to AAR analysis table.
6. In aar, route the calls to the this new route pattern.

This should do it for you, Good Luck.

Regards.
