Hello,

We want to install a T1 card in a Modular ICS 0x32 that has 2 4x0-CI trunk card slot 3 and 4, one combo card in slot 2, a M12x0 Trunk Expansion Module with 1 4x0-CI slot 3 trunk card and 2 4x0-DS trunk card slot 1 and 2. We also have 2 M0x16 Station Expansion Module.

We want to keep right now the 3 4x0-CI trunk cards, and install the DTI card. Can I install the DTI in slot 1 and then do all the programing for it or will there be problems with the CI cards installed?

Thanks

No ... you may swap cards - you'll have to administer the required card type in software

Even though the T1 card will work on slot 1 of the TM you should really put it in slot 4 of the ICS. Nortel told me that there may be some intermittent timing problems show up if you don't load the T1 Cards into the MICS in the correct sequence ie. first card in slot 4 second in slot 3 third in first TM etc.
