T-Bird 1.4 or New AMD Palomino...What's your opinion?

I'm currently gathering componentsto build a high performance AMD system. So far I have an Epox 8K7A+ Mobo...The last thing Ill get is a CPU. I've read that the new AMD Palomino will be coming out on Sept. 2001. Do you guys think I should wait and get it or should I just get a T-Bird 1.4 I trust your opinions....Let me know what your insights are...It will be greatly appreciated.
