I have customer that is switching carriers on their LD T-1
tonight. As I have never done this is there anything I should have to do other than connecting the new circuit to the Option 11? Thanks in advance, Al

Do a backup Store remotely if possible (XBK)
Ensure the format of the new T-1 is the same as the old
Disable the T-1 before removing, then once new T-1 connected enable.
Check counters
Check clocking to make sure you are not in freerun
Make multiple test calls to various area codes in order to make sure provisioning is correct on the vendors side.
Hopefully that will take care of what you need, though there may be other steps some people would recommend.

1. Does the user have account codes provided by their existing carrier?

2. Does the new carrier have all the correct DNIS information for existing toll free numbers?

3. Does the new carriers circuit allow customer CLID to be outpulsed or are they setting the circuit up to outpulse only 1 CLID provided by the carrier itself?

4. Is the current DCH config compatible with the new carrier?

5. If carrier account codes are used, do you have a seperate trunk group designated for faxing?

I will perform XBK to my notebook LD is resricted through NARS/BARS the customer ordered the new T-1 so I don't know if he provided all neccesary info for DNIS or CLID I will have to look at the DCH config when I arrive on site as I don't have remote access. Thanks for the pointers trvlr1 and Pronei.
