Our server needed to be reloaded because it had been hacked, so I loaded up a test server to move the domain onto while I did the reload. Gto it all setup and let them both run overnight, next morning reloaded old server when I tried to move the domain back the old server I found out that it never replicated sysvol, and the errors say they can't find old server, it is gone now. How do I fix this.

you are going to have to perform Metadata Cleanup. You will need the tool "NTDSUTIL" which I believe is in the support tools.

One of the options is Metadata cleanup. From there you will have to get rid of the old server's entries.

You can do this in LDAP as well, but NTDSUTIL is the easiest way for most.

thanks,
Ben
