I've done a keyword search but so far not discovered an answer to my current problem (plenty of answers to my previous problems though!).

I have been playing about with Group Policy on my w2000 Domain Controller, but I just get the following errors in my w2k pro client event viewer:

--------------
Windows cannot access the registry information at \\mydomain.co.uk\sysvol\mydomain.co.uk\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\Machine\registry.pol with (53).
--------------
Security policy cannot be propagated. Cannot access the template. Error code = 3.
\\mydomain.co.uk\sysvol\mydomain.co.uk\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\Machine\Microsoft\Windows NT\SecEdit\GptTmpl.inf.
--------------
The Group Policy client-side extension Security was passed flags (1) and returned a failure status code of (3).
--------------

After much searching and checking of permissions, etc., I discovered a KB Article suggesting stopping and restarting the Net Logon service and noting the Event Log (on the server), here they are then:

--------------
The Registry or the information you just typed includes an illegal value for "SysVol".
--------------
The Netlogon service could not create server share . The following error occurred:
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
--------------

Then I found this page on the web:

...which seems to offer the solution. My question is, is doing what this webpage suggests advisable?

I have looked into regedit (KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netlogon\Parameters), and discovered that DBFlag and SysVol seem to be all present and correct, however DynamicSiteName is not. Should I add this, and what name should I enter? mydomain.co.uk?

Thanks in advance. :) Ahdkaw
