So, I set up an old celeron 300 to be my dedicated VOIP server in the house.. It's an old abit bx-6 motherboard. The system runs asterisk fine, but here's what's driving me up the wall. If I get a power outage, or just need to reboot the machine, I have to haul a monitor in the room and hook it up or the damned thing won't boot! I've changed the setting in the bios to "halt on - No errors", but it still wants to halt.. Going nutz here, any suggestions?

Try a different video card. I've noticed some cards appear to need a signal from the monitor, or else boot up will hang.

Thanks for the tips guys.. GOAOZ nailed it.. I just happened to have an old POS video card laying around. I slapped it in and presto! problem solved.. I thought for sure it was just the motherboard being a pain in the ass, but it was the vid card. Thanks again.

p.s. I did consider a UPS for the machine, but I just couldn't justify a 100 dollar UPS for a celeron 300a :) -- anyways, won't have to worry about that now.
