System Speed Dial from Menu

Whenever a user selects the menu to look up a System Speed Dial the set makes a loud ding-dong.

Question: Is there any way to toggle this sound off?

OR, are they doing something else, other than LOOKING UP a number?

Look up is done as follows:
Menu
Dir
SysDir

and then the phone dingdongs.

OOPS ! - I goofed - the MLX-20's DO NOT DO THIS, the other phones do.

I guess I never noticed.

It's probably something that was never complained about.

I would escalate to Avaya, but unless R4 Fixed it, it is probably "cast in stone".
