System restore

I am having problems with system restore. I had to turn it off, back on and manualy create a restore point. Now that point is still there but I cannot create any more.

after a while they all disapear and I cannot use it at all.
Any clues or suggestions

Turns out it is an issue with my highpoint raid controller

It is an onbord IC.. This presents a problem

One website recomends deleating a file in the system32-drivers folder. Anyone try this yet. What were the results?????????
