system restore doesn't work

when i go to start programs acessories and system tools to activate system restore i get this message

"rstrui.exe entry point not found"
The proceedure entry point

remoteassistancepreparesystemrestore could not be launched in the dynamic link library WINSTA.DLL

what should i do?

Start with these two fixes and report back as to your progress:

1. Insert the Windows XP CD
2. Click [Start] [Run]
3. Type the following command and press Enter
"rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf"

System Restore core files should be reinstalled.

Second fix:

Windows Explorer, navigate to the "C:\Windows\Inf" folder
right-click sr.inf
choose Install
