I am Running Win 98Se and have noticed many slow downs on my system. I have already tried Disk Defragment and Scan Disk to see if there is any errors on my HDD. I have also Reduced my System to minimum config. and the same problem still occurs. I am stumped by the problem, maybe someone has seen this happen. what do I do next?

Increase your RAM ammount. How much do you currently have? How many apps do you run at a time? James Collins

128 Rim memory, Pentium III 800 MHZ Processor, Nothing in startup folder. It is a Dell However....

Go to START>RUN then type regedit. Look in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Run folder. See what is being loded there.

Also type msconfig in the RUN command. Go to STARTUP. uncheck any PROGRAM (only programs, If you not sure dont touch) that may be checked.
Also how is your swap file usage?

Check out FAQ faq615-786 for increasing performance. James Collins
