System message indicating password block

When my Sony laptop first starts to boot,
the loading process stops, then a message reads
Password Block. I have attempted to go into the
systems CMOS setup, to access the password setting, but
it still prompts you for a password. Any Ideas??

Hat you tried to take out the CMOS battery? (If it has one or you can find it) Also take out the laptop battery and unplug from the wall for a few hours. (Works with older IBM laptops on resetting the BIOS. James Collins
