I'm working on a system that seems to lock up after a little while. I have tried new and old mice. It doesn't matter which program I am using, it'll just lock up to the point where you can't even turn it off using the power button.
I recently built this system, but I am using customers old Quantum 3.2 Hard drive. I'm thinking bout replacing the Hard drive with a new one. Everything is new in system except for Hard drive. Any opinions!!!???

I can be reached at this email: mcrservice99@icqmail.com

Too many other things possibly wrong to make snap decisions that the hard drive is bad. If the machine is just sitting there and fails, it is more likely video, power, memory, or processor than hard drive.

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply.

Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

Is power management on...
i.e. shut down monitor (never)
shut down hard drive (1 hour)

???
