I am running a PC Partner motherboard with a Celeron 533 cpu and with onboard sound turned off. I am using an Diamond MX300 Monster sound card with the drivers from Diamond, a Voodoo 3 1000 OEM Video card with the latest drivers from 3DFX and have 128 Megs Ram and a Cirrus 56k Modem. My problem is that I cannot play sounds and access graphic intensive programs while on the Internet. If I am playing a song in Winamp and connect to the net, everything is fine, however, as soon as I try to open IE 5.01, my system freezes. As well, if I have nothing open but connect to the net and try to connect to Battlenet in Diablo II, my system freezes. I have tried removing and reinstalling the sound drivers and modem drivers.
