system file not suitable for running MS-Dos and Windows application

I am running Install Master 8.1
I have some customers that recieve this error when downloading out application "The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications"

From the web, I recieved this information for the fix:
The problem is caused because some system files on your PC have been corrupted. To fix the problem either re-install your operating system or replace the following files in your windows\system32 directory: Autoexc.nt, Config.nt and command.com. If you are going to perform the latter step, please remember to back up the original files first. For more information please review the following Microsoft link:
This does not always happen but I have had about 5 customers that have. what could cause this? Could the install be corrupting something? this is a pretty dramatic fix for someone to do?

any help or information would be helpful
 
I have exactly the same problem... did the same 2 fixes .. none worked. This is exausperating.

This did not happen until the last security update.
 
If the common fixes do not solve this problem, corruption of the AUTOEXEC.NT file has also been related to virus infection. You may want to virus-check your system with one of the following free tools:
