Having had a couple of 'near goes' with the indefatigable and uncrashable ( I wish) Windows XP I have decided to start backing up my entire system. That's about 22GB's worth of data. To this end I have aquired an IOMEGA 80GB Desktop External HDD.
A "free" copy of Iomega's Backup program and also a copy of Nortons Ghost 2003 program were provided with the HDD.
Has anyone out there got any experience of either of these in actual use please?
Also, has anyone used the provided Microsoft XP BackUp program that comes with the XP disk?
Which of the above would you recommend please?
Thanks.

I have used all of the programs you mentioned, and had the most luck with the Iomega backup. Ghost worked pretty good, but I had to reboot to dos like window to perform the ghost. XP's backup is really only good for tape, otherwise it will just create a backup file set for all the data you backup, and you can't view it like you would in a windows explorer window. Iomega allowed to schedule copying of files and folders to a removable drive, and worked pretty good.

Thanks impulse24. Very useful. I've just been reading some of the PC Mag. reviews for Ghost. Some were very bad: some very good. It's nice to know what you're up against when you install a new program. Thanks again.
