Yes, with the DBA feature active in the PBX and OTM.
Trought OTM you can schedule a backup dayly, weekly, monthly.
The files system are send to the OTM trough ELAN.
If you want to make it manually you can insert the floppy into the dirve A in one PC and copy all files in a folder.
B. PROCEDURES FOR OPT 51c, 61c and 81c DATABASE BACKUP
Connect PC and open selected software, if not already connected.
Check connection protocols: Baud rate = 9600, or what ever system is set to.
Bit rate = 8
Parity = none
Stop bits = 1
1. Logging In and Initial Backup
Meridian Log-In Procedures
1. Enter LOGI, then press <cr>.
The normal response is PASS?
2. Enter your access password and press <cr>.
The system will respond with:
TTY XX Logged In and the prompt ‘ >’.
3. Load overlay 43.
4. Check that a 2.88Mb disk is present in active disk drive, (CMDU).
5. Type EDD and press <cr>.
Step 5 will perform a data-dump, which will save the existing database to the active primary core, and to the diskette on the active 2.88Mb disk drive, (CMDU).
2. Diskette Back up
1. Complete section 1.
2. Insert another 2.88Mb diskette into the same active disk drive and type the command BKO. This will format the disk then do a backup copy to the new disk, if the disk is being used for the first time.
If the disk previously has been used, the EDD command is sufficient to perform the back up.
When the procedure is finished, the system will respond with ‘database back up complete’.
3. Remove diskette for storage and label with customer name, time and date of back up.
i always add ld 135 scpu ld 43 edd to back up both disk.. i do this every morning, and store the disk in a lock box.. i have a pair of disk for each day of the week.. i can revert to any disk i need, they are 12 hours apart, for each day of the week mon-fri... i backed up last weeks monday's disk this am,(both sides) tonight at midnight, the midn will do a backup to one disk.. those two go in the safe one with and one without todays changes.. if something happens today that i don't like, in the morning i can back up to monday am or monday after midnight... that's more backup then you need, but it's way better then just knowing it backup at midnight, and never checking
