Hi all,

I have been doing universal images for sometime now, but have ben tasked with something slightly different which is causing me a headache.

I am creating an image for computers which will be used by members of the public, as such they are not joining the domain. I created the image and it works fine, but I have since been asked to make a small adjustment. I have been asked to join them to a workgroup called public. I thought this would be really easy, but no.

I have the public sysprep'd image drive plugged into my pc as a slave and just amended the sysprep.inf to read joinworkgroup=public

but upon booting up a copy of the image the workgroup name doesnt change, and I dont know why.
my only initial thought is when the image is sealed then this value is added to the registry at this point and not when the pc runs through mini setup.
Can anyone help?
I want sysprep to change the workgroup name rather than use vbs as I have 4 scripts which run after minisetup already and its not a 'seamless, error free, proffesionaly done' task!
Thanks!
Wazz
