I'm running CiscoWorks 2000 (RME ver 2.2; CWSI ver 2.4) on a NT platform. I've worked (unsuccessfully)with the Cisco TAC center to resolve three issues regarding the Syslog Analysis features. I cannot get the filters, custom reports and action items to save in the database when setting them up in Resource Manager Essentials. I spoke to a peer who is running CiscoWorks 2000 on UNIX and she said these functions work without error. Has anyone else experienced similar problems and/or have any advice? Thanks.

Thanks, elek88! As it was resolved, I was able to identify my problem being an ODBC driver issue. Before the Syslog Analysis features problem surfaced, I had an issue with the Syslog Analyzer "locking up" when multiple syslog messages were being received at the same moment from more than one device. The solution was to switch from the default ODBC driver to another. That fixed the problem of processing syslog messages coming in simultaneously from more than one device, but prevented me from making changes with the automated Syslog Analyzer features. I've since upgraded to release 3 of CiscoWorks 2000 and many of the issues I saw in release 2 have gone away, including this one.
