Hi guys,
I am using Office XP and Mergefields, using arithemtic functions on mergefields from my database.
a) I have several formulae similar to this format:
{= {MERGEFIELD DATA1} / {MERGEFIELD DATA2} \* MERGEFORMAT}
b) If I press ALT-F9 to hide the mergefield contents, I always get " !Syntax Error,<< " but I cannot find exactly what is wrong with the syntax.
c) Once I merge the document, all mergefields except those with formulae display the data, but the formulae mergefields show as at a) above. ALT-F9 will display the correct result, and printing will always show the correct result, but I need the result to display without using ALT-F9.
What is wrong with my formula syntax?
Another question - If I have a date in my database and want to add 7 days to it and display the new date, how do I do this? (Perhaps I should test showing the date as [mergefield date \@ "dd" } then add 7 to that. Will try... unless you know a way that will work.
Thanks... again,
Paul Haydock
