Hi,

does anybody knows a solution for synchronizing Netware 4 servers with a SNTP-Server? Doesn't work with timesync...

Thanks in advance!

Funny you should post this. Since MS uses SNTP and Novell uses NTP (industry Standard) you won't be able to get them to talk. Best move would be to setup a router to run both NTP and SNTP or some other device and point the Novell Box to it. Cisco by default uses NTP, as well as several others. Sorry I can't offer much help, but since MS deviated away from the Industry standard, you will have to find another workaround.

Better yet, just get rid of your non-industry standard server and use Novell..

There is a SNTP server app that can run on Cisco...the question I don't have an answer to is wether or not you can run both NTP and SNTP.

Another alternative would be to by a timing device that does both.
