Hi Guys,
Could someone spare a few moments for a distraught individual. I am a medical professional trying to set up a data entry form on Microsoft Access 2000. I need to have two combo boxes which should be synchronised. The first one selecting name of a hip replacement prosthesis and the second one offering the size options on that one. I have two tables ; one with the list of prostheses and the second one with the size options for each. I have provided a prosthesis ID for each prosthesis so that all the size options are identifiable.
I did create a form with a subform and I can get the options as needed on that but it does not allow me to put combo boxes there.
I am a bit stumped and though I have tried to use the help from microsoft KB and other threads, I haven't been able to solve the problem. Shall be grateful for any help

First, look at the Solutions Database Sample. It has examples of Synchronized Combo Boxs.

I think they call it limiting contents of one list based on the value of another list.

Will need to have some sort of relationship between the
prosthesis and the size options.

Either they need to be in the same table, on in two different tables related by the prosthesisid.

Once you do that, you create the first combobox, which just lists the prosthetic limbs available. After it is updated, it automatically requeries the second combobox, which selects sizes where the prosthesisid is equal to the prosthesis selected in the first combobox.

Understand?

First, look at the solutions database sample, then let me know if you have questions.
