:-( We are testing palm devices wich are to be used by the higher management. With a regular use in our environment (outlook 2000/exchange 5.5) i have not found serious problems with both the standard software and with Desktop To Go. BUT!
I am sure that when used the palms wil be dropped on the desk of secretary's to be synchronised. Therefore i'm trying to find a way of synchronising a mailbox from users where you are granted for.
for example: Mary (mailbox marysmail) is granted to handle the complete mailbox of her boss (mailbox bossmail). What we want is that mary can sync the palm for her boss with the bossmail mailbox when se is logged in with her own account. Until this far i have not found any software that enables this. Who can help me out!

Not sure if this will help.
Create 2 "Users" in the Palm Desktop software.
One for Mary, One for Boss. Allow Boss account to sync to Mail in the "HotSync" menu "Custom"

1. creat a new user for the bosses palm.
2. all the solft ware has to be loaded localy, no going to a server, that is a whole different issue.
3. the secretary has to have acces to the bosses mail in a proflie on outlook.
4. set the mail setup for the bosses mail profile.

that should do it.

another thing syncing to outlook 2000 using the vs. 2.0.5 of pocket mirror you should update it or you can get a whole bunch of problem in the future. the update is located at is is the standard update 3.0.2

if you are using intellisync i recommend to get rid of it, it to can cause problems on the palm. than install the pocket mirror on the palm desktop cd. it is located at:
"cd drive"/palmsfw/disk1/pocketmirror/setup *the one with the little computer by it.

I have not been able to test either one of the above soutions. At this time we have decided to test with \pocket Mirror Pro because it has the ability to choose every map you want to sync from the 'root' of your outlook tree (therefore including other mailboxes).

Beat them at there own game ans set the receptionists desk as a sync server for the entire network. They come inand by the time they get the messages she/he has the palm synced up

The last solutions should work to... but, although Ironstarr recommended otherwise, we desided to go with Intellisync. We are sometimes having some troubles with it (like not regonising earlier sync't items, therefore getting double items or losing data) but for this moment it seems the best solution. Now we are able to sync any mailbox at any place (in our network) as long as the user who's logged in has sufficient rights.
