We have an 81C we are using 3904 sets. Call Center environment. Several users say they "hear" another conversation as they handle their own calls. They cannot talk to the other call they "hear". Not sure but thik i9t maybe an IVR issue. Any help/ suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

The question is whether the crosstalk is on the telco trunks, or on your phone system.

If it is your phone system, it is going to be hard to find. But looking for commonalities will help pinpoint it... like "only people in loop 4" or "only people on card 1-2" or "just in Group 0". I'd start by reporting it to the telco carrier, just so someone can start looking and listening in at their in. Hopefully it is their problem to solve.

All DNs with symptoms are scatterd across the switch, think it is IVR problem using Genesis. I don't know squat about the Genesis stuff just that is linked with a CDN

No box that is external to the PBX (like your IVR system) will be the cause of the crosstalk heard on a Nortel phone unless the Nortel phone is talking to that external box.

I had a similar problem once, where users were hearing voices on their phones, it turned out to be an inductive loop system in a conference room, as well as being picked up by hearing aids, it was being picked up by handsets on digital phones on a different floor.

For cross talk at PSTN, 99% the culprit is at copper wiring. And change to another pair of wires will resolve the problem.
