I presently have symposium 3.0 on NT box that has been infected. we use it on opt 81 Pbx release 25 issue 10 version 3011.

I am trying to avoid the enormous pbx hardware upgrade costs to get a later version of symposium installed (like 4.2) on a windows 2000 machine. We are going to replace SCCS in 2 years so we dont want to be forced in the latest and greatest product.

anyone have experience installing a later release or a contact who might be a good source for this?

the manager doesnt want this to happen again. They want all NT40 boxes removed from site and any apps place on Win2000 machines. This version doesnt support win2000 but only nt40 boxes.

I don't get it....you have a version of SCCS that doesn't support win2k but you need to replace the NT4.0 OS. You don't want to spend the money on a PBX upgrade.

SECC 4.2 operates on any M1 greater than Rel 24.24, so all you need to do is purchase an upgrade to SECC 4.2. PBX upgrade not required.

the total hardware and sccs latest revision cost is $230,000.

If i could find a SCCS 4.0 + version that i could install on a win2k box that would be much better than having to upgrade hardware to support 5
