I apologize for posting this question here but I see that there is no forum for Symantec Ghost. How odd!

I have a Sony Vaio laptop and a Dell Optiplex tower connected via parallel ports with a laplink cable from Symantec. I am trying to dump the contents of the laptop's hard disk into an image file (.GHO) onto the hard drive of the tower. The laptop will not boot via the hard disk so I'm trying to see if I can save the data on the machine.

In Ghost, I select the laptop as the Master and the tower as the Slave but when they try to connect to one another, I am getting an Internal Error 16009. Internal Inconsistency error.

Symantec's knowledge base has no listing for this error number. I tried some of the solutions they listed for other inconsistency errors such as using various switches, none worked.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
