I have a friend who has a pc from work and it has Norton Corp on it. He wants to uninstall it and put Norton 2003 on it since its a home pc now. Problem is is that nobody ever told him the password so when he tries to uninstall it prompts for a password and thats as far as he can get. I saw o nthis forum you can change it from the registry but I don't want to have him do that........is there any other way or can someone write me a .reg file he can just import or whatever? Thanks

Has he tried symantec (the default password) yet?

yrs, thats what Ithought at first. It ended up being in the security folder called VP password uninstall. With that key deleted the password is gone....

So, did you get it unistalled OK?
