Dear all,

Im new to Coldfusion, and just want to evaluate coldfusion 5 server on NT 4.0 (sp6).
I have a question, after i install coldfusion, i want to establish a connection
to a remote sybase ASE 11.9.2 server, i can successfully 'ping' from the
installed sybase client (OCS 12.5). However, from the ODBC datasource drop down list box
i cannot locate the Sybase ODBC driver, but inside the control panel -> ODBC -> driver
i can see that Sybase's ODBC was installed (MERANT 3.70 Coldfusion OEM 32-Bit Sybase ASE.

Please help.

Hey Lok,

Are you looking in the control panel on the server that CF is running from or from your workstation?

If the server running CF doesn't show the driver from the CF Admin odbc setup page but does have it in the odbc manager, I would just add it from control panel -> datasources -> system dsn. Just make sure you add it from the system dsn section so it will be available to CF pages.

Hope this helps,
GJ
