running sybase module v2.0 on win2000 servers, after upgrading our Networker server to 7.4 sp2 from sp1, and pushing out client upgrade to sybase windows machine, the sybase backup is failing with error

05/16/08 07:39:42 nsrsybsv: Error from server : Msg 7205, Level 17, State 2
05/16/08 07:39:42 nsrsybsv: Can't open a connection to site 'SYB_BACKUP'. See the error log file in the SQL Server boot directory.
05/16/08 07:39:42 nsrsybsv: Non fatal internal error from server : Msg 7205, Level 18, State 3
05/16/08 07:39:42 nsrsybsv: Can't open a connection to site 'SYB_BACKUP'. See the error log file in the SQL Server boot directory.

the sybase backup of this host was running fine before pushing out the networker client upgrade. I tried restarted the networker service on host but still receive failure. Any ideas ?

So, what does the error log file report?

If it was running earlier, i bet on a compatibility problem.

after trying a bunch of things with EMC support, running the nsrsybsv command from the windows client itself was successful. After that, running the backup through Networker from a group was also successful, so in fact nothing was changed to have it run. The EMC support guy thought maybe something was cached within the client after the upgrade, with the manual backup causing it to overwrite the cache. All is well and all clients including windows sybase clients were upgraded successfully.
