Sybase as APS database?

Is it possible to set up CE 8.0 to run using a Sybase instead of SQL database? Anyone ever do this?

In the platforms.txt Sybase Adaptive Server 11.5 is listed as APS DB tested. So it probably works, or ask tesh support.
