Can some one please help me set up Okidata 320 Printer to SX 50 System. I've tried connecting cables and programming as book says, but still doesn't seem to be working.

Yes I tried shut down.

central time zone, did you try the * commands I gave earlier the one that ends in *82?

Yes...Tried that too...I've tried *750, *75#, *82...

just to make sure that switch 4 is open which is away from the control card ???

I have no idea. Like I said previous people used phone line to to their hotel call accounting software.

No, It is located on control card 2 right above RS 232 Port.

but the switch 4 position itself is away from the card

Oh yes...facing oposite of card...

I am wondering if you have a bad control card 2

Could be. But music and pager ports work fine...

Does Universal Card hold 16 phone extentions ?? Because I have to order a card anyways, and if universal card hold 16 phone extentions, i might order that one instead....It has a rs 232 port right ?

no the universal does not. just for fun do you have a null modem connector?

No. What is null modem connector ? and what does it do ?

a null modem reverses the tx and rx or pins 2 and 3 among a few other leads. It makes a printer look like a modem or vice versa.

no i dont have it...do u want me to try that ?

I am drawing at staws now, I would hate to see you buy another control card 2 and the trouble is outside the switch.
try *90#

tried..no luck...do you know any otherway to do it besides printer and hyper terminal ?
