If I want to switch service providers, let's say from a phone company to a smaller service provider, how do I go about this? We are currently not under a maintenance contract.

Additionally, If I wanted to gain the administrative passwords to our switch via Nortel, what cetrifications would I need to do so? I currently do not have access to various LDs and it sometimes this is very frustrating.

Thank you,

Just Shady

YOU JUST NEED TO CONTACT THAT PROVIDER AND ASK, AS FAR AS THE PASSWORDS YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO THEM. THREY MAY ASK YOU TO SIGN A PAPER SAYING THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF ANY SOFTWARE GEYS SCREWED UP

Thanks PERRYPJ. I was told that you needed to be certified to gain access to the admin passwords.

Our current service provider seems reluctant to give them up.

Thanks again.

remind the provider that you paid for the switch, it's your password, they work for you..
