Switching Identities in OE 6

I just built a new pc with WIN XP and when I go to switch to another identity in Outlook Express 6 the email program shuts down and does not open unless the system is rebooted.Is there any known issues with switching identities in OE 6?Any patches or fixes for this so I can switch from 1 identity to another?
