Hi, we've been running a mix of roaming and local profiles for a while now and would like to get everyone switched over to Roaming profiles for standardization.

The issue we are experiencing is that some of these users have been using their Local Profiles for a long time, and right now if I switch them over to Roaming Profiles then all of their data doesn't transfer over to the Server. I know that I can go to each computer individually and copy their local profile to their roaming profile on the server, but is there an easier way to automate this process that is transparent to the users?

Running AD on a Windows 2000 server, all uses are running Windows XP Pro.

You answered your own question really.

I do believe however you can simply create a roaming profile for the user which should syncronize with the local copy on first login.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
