If you or your company will plunk down $70 on Cisco LAN Switching from Cisco Press and you will devote your own hours to reading it, you will not be sorry. One 2900 today, 30 tomorrow. If at all possible, pick this book up and read it, sleep with it, talk sweet to it, know it.
We have a tutorial for basic configuration of the 1900 series along with some others you might find useful.
