swf larger than fla

Hi,

When I publish my swf is considerably larger (file size) than the fla. The fla contains a Quicktime movie imported. Is it common for the swf to be bigger than the fla?

If you've left the quality of the embedded QT to 100% when importing that's quite possible. Often lowering the quality only as much as 5-10% (without really affecting quality...) will reduce the .swf's size dramatically. Lower it till you see a real difference in acceptable picture quality...
