swf doesn't play in my html file

hi,

i have a small flash movie embeded in a html page that shows up as a gray box when i upload the files.

i publish the flash movie (flash 5) as an swf and that's what i'm embeding into dreamweaver 3. any thoughts?

What's the content of the 187 frames of that comm.swf?

When I link directly to it, I get the same thing?

the frames contain bitmap images, i imported in and convertd to graphic symbols. there are 4 images that fade in and out and loop.

Post a link to your .fla, zipped up and in a MX only format, not MX2004.

You'd have a better chance of getting an answer if your .fla was in a MX only format, and zipped up.

You would have to save a copy of your MX2004 .fla, (using Save as...) and changing the Document type to MX only in the Save as... window.

i'm not sure what/how to save as MX only. i don't have an option to do that in the save as window. i'm using flash 5.

Don't know what you posted? .bin extension?

If you're on Flash 5, just upload the .fla, and I'll try that.

Ok. So your on Flash 5 but on Mac. The .fla then needs to be zipped up to be able to open it up on PC. So zip up that same .fla and upload that zip.
