The thread below from January mentions the specific PEPs available from Nortel that allow SWC 4.5 to work with Internet Explorer 7 clients:

thread798-1306932

Our SWC 4.5 server is at SU05 and our IT department is wanting to push IE7 out to the users. I provided my vendor with the PEPs named in that thread but they cannot locate them on Nortel's website. Does anyone know if these PEPs are still available or if new ones have been released with a different name?

Thanks!

those patches are sitting right on nortel espl website under swc 4.5

chances are, your vendor or that particular person, does not have access to all aspect of the espl where patches are kept.

Thanks for the reply.

So if my vendor doesn't have access to a PEP that I need, what am I to do? What determines the vendor's level of access to Nortel's site?

Ask the Vendor if thsy are a Nortel partner.

Certified staff members with specific credentials enable a vendor to become accredited on a particular product and thereby sell and support it. That in and of itself does not necessarily enable a vendor to access certain software.

Other factors: Service contracts (each data product requires a service contract -- YES for partners too), whether a partner's staff has taken and passed a particular course grants access to other patches (espl for one).
