I want to swap out our default gateway router. I'm going from a 2600 to a 3600 but keeping all the same IPs. We also have 6009 Catalyst and as I said this is the default gateway for all hosts (it's doing vlan routing as well). When I do this, what should I look to do since the MAC address will be changing? Clear ARP tables everywhere including the switch? Any tips and example commands would be appreciated.

Thanks
RG

You should be fine with just swapping out the boxes, as for the ARP cache tables, I would think that by the time it takes you to swap the routers and boot the 3600 up, that the cache would be flushed. But you could do that to be safe.
