Swapping Columns

Is there a function in VBA to swap information between 2 columns?

I am thinking of Creating a New Column for temporary storage purposes. After the data will be swapped erase it.
Do you think its the right way to approach it?

DoCmd.RunSQL "UPDATE MyTable SET [col1] = [col2];"

No I mean to swap, whats in first column has to be in the second and whats in second column it has to go to the first.
