svchost.exe taking 99% of my Processor

Hi All,

I used Windows XP OS.

I observed that the Hard drive LED is constantly on. On checking Task Manager to figure out the problem, I observed that SVHOST.EXE is taken average of 95% of my processor resources thereby slowing down the system.

What can I do to rectify this problem.

Have you ran a full AV scan?
