Sv8500 pri channels idle but network provider say they can't see layer1,using as Tie line to Cisco VOIP routes and for operator trunk routes setup months ago
By other vendors any suggestion to what commands to check.Vendor can cause link
to be lost test ok,no errors in Dtfd, Thanks Bill

I have done a PRI to CISCO, however we set it up as QSIG.
If you are using a PRI connection then one side needs to be set as "network" On the NEC PRI that is a switch setting. Refer to the circuit card manual for the type of card you are using.

Moved Prtc to different stack from 01 to 06 different len still same problem made one pri standard other Network straps to loop I other layer light ticked but even after reprogramming sand strap both back as network still no led at Cisco Nic sand no layer1 even when using Nic that it's working on other Pri routes different len sand stacks over land over again sand again 5 different people look over with me Nec to help next

With loop error went away for layer1 problem only good thing on that still a problem for NEC PBX Engineer Professional services at this point resources problem maybe QSig issues other routes not using but no cards sand gound strap vacant future label on len with tape. Lol but not funnyman

In which direction did the loopback clear the error? looping the PABX back on it's self or looping the line back on it's self?

Hello , OzzieGeorge
looping the PABX back on it's self Route 83 Network End Route 85 Standard ISDN PRI as to Outside Provider end is Network end
in this case Route 83 Network Provider this loop back release Alarm or Layer1 Led on PRTC all was normal.
Other Routes setup on SV8500 Working fine with Cat6 cable to CISCO put all back normal still problem with NIC not getting LED Green
or Layer1 can't be seen by I/T Network group even with swap of other Routes NIC RJ45 Connections working ok on them.
Ran new 100' Cable from LEN 060153 -07 to I/T Network Position still not led swap works fine on other Routes?
Real dilly this is.Layer1 LED Blinking again after Loop back taken OFF and Install connections Normal.

Ok so if you loop back the PABX and it's alarm goes off, then that end is OK at Layer 1 If you loop back the Cisco and it doesn't see layer 1 then it has to be a fault in the Cisco as you have tried replacing the cable. Kick it back to IT as a possible faulty NIC. You could try making a loopback socket and connect the lead at the Cisco end to the socket and see if the alarm clears. If it does, what else can it be?
