SUS server and external website

I have SUS beta 2 running on a windows 2003 server.
the SUS server is running well (knock on wood).
My question is all internal users on the network update fine. Is there a way to configure an external website for the SUS server so my salesman with laptops can update from this aswell, or is it strickly for those on the network ?

I'd recommend having them VPN in, at which point they are on the local network and can hit the SUS server that way. I hate opening LAN resources for use over the internet without the protection of a VPN.
