Hello,

I am trying to Supress a Text Object in the Group Footer, based on whether the details secion is blank using V8.5.

The Text Object has some text in it, as well as some formula's. The formula's come out blank, when their is nothing in the details section, but the text in the text object still appears.

How can I supress this Text Object, based upon the details section being blank??

Thanks,

Steve

One solution is to conditionally suppress the text field based on the formula that comes out blank.

If there are no records for a particular group, the group header and footer will not print at all, UNLESS there are no records selected for the entire report, in which case you will get report headers and footers, group headers and footers, and a blank details section.

Under file options, there is a checkbox to suppress printing if no records are selected. Maybe this will help.

If there are any records, even one, you would want it to print. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
