supress blank lines in address - mailmerge

I have this set up with the option in word, and when i merge it, or toggle it on the screen, it still shows blank lines. how do I make it supress these blank lines?

What's your data source? Are you absolutely SURE those items are BLANK?

If you're using Excel, and you have a space in a cell, that's NOT blank... Anne Troy
