I would like to prevent the display of toolbars for charts and drawing objects when they are clicked on. I'm sure this calls for some VBA - and I'm not VBA-savvy. Many thanks to those of you who are - you have answered lots of my questions in the past.....
Secondly, when you say clicked on, do you mean with the right mouse button?
Left-clicking on a Chart in Excel, for example, changes the menu bar at the top of the screen, whilst right-clicking in different parts of one causes various different popup menus to appear. All can be changed - it's just a question of what you want.
Enjoy,
Tony

Primarily Excel, although the question still pertains to any toolbar that any Office application automatically displays when you left-click on an object. For instance, activate a picture object and the Picture toolbar displays; activate a chart and the Chart toolbar displays. Or, as another example, go into Outline view in Word and the Outline toolbar displays. I only want toolbars to display when I CHOOSE to have them display - not automatically. Does this make sense? Thanks!
