I have a columnar report that gather's it's data from formulas passed through a VB application. Each section is a sub-report and will print static fields such as field labels, without data, even when there is no data returned from VB. Is there a way to suppress a blank section that contains a sub-report that has no data population?

The formulas are the data, or do you mean you provide parameters via formulas, or?

Are you using CR 9?

If so you can select suppress blank subreport, if not, try posting some technical information.

You can suppress a section in a report if you know in advance that it will not contain data.

Hi K,

Yes, the formulas are empty in the RPT file, and are passed values from the VB code at run time. I am using Crystal 9, I will test your suggestion to suppress blank subreport.

Thanks,
Tom
