I am utilizing CR 8.5 and hooking a DB2 database via ODBC connection. I have several reports that I hide the details and only display group information so that the report does not get to unwieldy. In such cases I would like to additionally hide anything in the page header so that it only displays when someone drills down on the report data and displays the detail information. Is there any such way to accomplish this? Thanks...

You could suppress the page header and instead insert a detail_a section where you place your page header fields. Then create a running total {#cntwingrp} using the expert that counts a recurring field, evaluates for each record and resets on change of group. Then go to the section expert->detail_a->suppress->x+2 and enter:

{#cntwingrp} <> 1

Thanks LB for the great idea...worked like a charm
