I have a report and want to supress page footer on a condition. I am using the report header to put content of my title page and have it set for NewPageAfter.

However, the page footer section only will suppress when there is NO criteria in the "x-2" option.

For example, in the pagefooter section, when I click suppress without a formula, it works. When I click suppress and add criteria PageNumber=1, it does not suppress.

I need to suppress this page footer only when it follow the report header. How?

Thanks in advance.

It won't suppress using PagenNumber = 1 because the page number is actually 2. Since you added the "New Page After" in the Report Header, the rest of the report starts on page 2. Your report header page has no page footer.

Problem is that when I suppress page footer with condition, it still reserves space at the bottom of each page. If I suppress without condition, it does not reserve space at bottom of the page.

Any idea how to get around this?

That is how it is supposed to work. Conditional suppression means it will only suppress when the condition is met. You should probably explain in more detail the results you are trying to get. Do you want the page footer to suppress under more than one condition?

If I try and suppress page footer on ANY condition, it does NOT suppress even when the condition is met. It only works when I check the suppress box without adding a condition.

Thanks again.

Please copy your suppression formula into the thread and tell us what you are expecting it to do.

LB,
It's not the formula that is the issue. It's the fact that the page footer takes up the same amount of space on the page when the condition is met.

In testing, I've expanded the footer to 3 inches and used the boolean of "TRUE" as the formula for suppression. The page footer still reserves 3 inches at the bottom of the page. If there is no formula and the check box is checked the page footer takes up no room.

That is what I am seeing. Is there any way around this?

Mike,

You're right. Sorry for going off on a tangent...
